I took this photograph of my daughter in Brighton five years ago whilst she was having a bit of a strop, I have always loved the photograph but the older she gets the more I cherish those moments we have captured. I stopped taking photographs when I came back from travelling and it wasn't until I had her that I was reminded how much I missed something beautiful to capture. ❤️

Theses photographs were taken at a London remains protest where people invaded the Channel 4 live news reporting opposite the houses of parliament. To say that the atmosphere in the crowd was one of disbelief would not be an exaggeration. Irrespective of my own political views I think that my grandfather who was a Dutch correspondent and photographer would have been very proud to have seen myself and one of his other Granddaughters attend the event. There were plenty of people who voted to Leave at the event who called for their vote to be cast again so that they could vote with the understanding that they had been told countless lies ( their words not mine. ) London seemed like a city on the brink of a very big problem indeed.

I dont do landscape photography all that often as I love people so much. However London was my home for so much of my life and I love the river and the bridges and the mix of old and new. Most of my personal work is for sale via my website, this is by far my favourite shot of London : )

Occasionally I take a photograph that ( for me at least ) captures more than just a portrait. When you just get that glimpse of something more in someones eyes. I don't even know what words to use but it always takes my breath away when I get a photograph that I love this much.

I often get the pleasure of listening to some stunning music whilst attempting to take photographs in what appears to be the pitch black.... I had the pleasure of meeting Kat Eaton at the Radio Academy launch last month but at her gig yesterday I have to say I was captivated by her stage presence and her huge vocal energy. I couldn't bring myself to leave until the very end. Her support acts Mi'das, Georgia Blackwell and Ewan Phillips were all incredible. Her single the Joker is out now and is quite something to hear performed live. All round superb evening under the guise of work for me....

There are so many layers in a rose. Each one adds to its uniqueness and its beauty, when you edit a photograph if you do it right you should be adding to its uniqueness and its beauty also. I don't generally take on many weddings because I will never bulk process images as I think its disrespectful to the whole concept of photography being an art and its therefore takes me a small age to get the photographs how I want them, I just finished editing a huge wedding and am so so so happy that I might even do a little dance : )
