We sell an eclectic range of furniture, to suit all budgets, as it stands or hand painted. Commissions are undertaken to revamp customers own furniture. The idea to set up a small business came to us last year and we went on to launch Liberate in January 2014. We wanted to start a business that would compliment our lives as two busy mummy's.
We both loved the name Liberate and the idea that if "you love something you should set it free". So we went ahead and sourced an eclectic mix of furniture, we then restored and revamped each piece with care and attention. We are just passionate about all styles of furniture from retro, modern, classic, metal to art deco and anything else that catches our eye!
Our concept is to offer a for sale a collection of fabulous furniture and amazing soft furnishings we are also excited to be working in collaboration with another small business to launch some exciting gift items for the home.
Some of our pieces are quite traditional, some are more wild and funky, we are constantly exploring new paint colours and techniques and are currently going mad for a bit of spray painting, high gloss and decoupaging. We like to recycle and work hard to reuse everything we can.
We will soon have a more formal workshop and studio set up for you to view us at work and see all our pieces. Also please talk to us if you would like us to undertake commissions to revamp your own furniture.

Antique pine, she would look amazing painted in a delicate colour....either Clockface white or French Grey, and we feel she would benefit from some new handles. We have placed her in our main window. Some projects turn into a pure labour of love....converting this armoire into a vintage Barbie house certainly tested us, however we couldn't let down the gorgeous girl, who's getting this for her birthday. Her Mummy and Daddy have promised us that they will send lots of pics once Barbie, her car, horse and furniture etc are all in their new home. Commission's is where we excel and constantly push ourselves to produce something amazing. We believe in recycling old furniture, reinventing it, giving a piece a new lease of life..... Today trying to find the perfect red...plus stripping this mirror....beauty lies beneath each panel.
So our next commission to make a start on over Easter is a dark, steampunk design for a beautiful kidney shaped dressing table. Our Customer wants black, red, skulls and lots of drama. Sooo excited about these project......
Wow.....mid century heaven....designed and painted by our uber talented Clare.....another commission......another "one off piece" created for our Customer to compliment the colourway in her beautiful home.
Clare and I have spent a few hours today evicting our resident rat from the "back area"....bet your not smiling anymore ratsy....
