BAM Construction Southeast is building the first phase of a mixed use commercial development at Dunsbury Hill Farm Business Park in Havant. Portsmouth City Council has appointed BAM Construction Southeast to build the first phase of a mixed use commercial complex at Dunsbury Hill Farm Business Park in Havant. Leading leisurewear retailer, Fat Face, has confirmed that the 120,000 square foot warehouse and office space will be used for its new distribution centre. BAM will also be responsible for the external site works including hard standings, car parking, security gatehouse and soft landscaping.

We recently volunteered to replace a shed and complete some landscaping work at the garden of Krystal House in Leigh Park, for local charity Step By Step. Blanchard Wells kindly provided extra labour and materials, L&S Waste delivered a couple of skips and BAM donated the skip, picnic bench, materials and various team members over the three days it took to complete the project. And the results were much appreciated by all. Jack Vincent from Step By Step told us: “The work, time, and resources donated by all of the teams involved (BAM, L&S, Blanchard Wells) has been so incredible. The difference it will make to the young people’s lives is genuinely massive. From myself, my colleagues, and all of the young people here at krystal House, we extend our sincerest thanks to all involved!” You're very welcome Jack!

World Wide Safety Day at Dunsbury Hill Farm saw students from Highbury College visit the site and take part in a demonstration by Nationwide Platforms, who performed several demonstrations for subcontractors on site for whom this activity was particularly relevant. The Ultimate Match, team board game on Health & Safety, went down well as BAM staff and subcontractors played collaboratively to overcome hazards as they negotiated the board. Now we must wait to see how well we did against other teams - worldwide!
