I have available two small six month old black cocker spaniel bitches, litter sisters. Breeding a bit different pedigree attached. Lovely pups, biddable and kind temperament. Both will put their bum on the floor, mad keen retrievers with spot on delivery so the hard bit has been done. Attached a brief video. Pm or phone for any other info.

On my past puntgunning adventures to another beautiful part of the country I and my puntgunning partner and dear friend James D, sadly no longer with us, would always take a pack of dogs with us. We were allowed to keep our dogs in the best kennels I have ever seen. At this time they were no longer in use but the craftsmanship and design was outstanding. The whole building was designed to look after the welfare of the dogs and I believe was the first time corrugated iron roofing had been used in that part. The kennels in their day were famous. I have attached a few other photos to set the scene, remember wonderful days with James D. Can anyone identify the location, the kennels?

Lovely day letting the dogs play in the paddock, good east wind on the coast with a bit of snow drift on the roads. Two young cocker pups join the fun.

Could anyone assist me in detailing the Scottish clubs that have back to back open Cocker trials or ones that are held in the same week. Thank you.

Just a few photos, taken by and kindly sent to me by Paul Rawlings, showing the difference in weather between this years 2018 Springer Champs and the 2007 Champs at Buccleuch. The first photos are of FTCH Deepfleet Jay and the last is of OFTW Rytex Ravery of Deepfleet. This is the only photo I can find of Rave having lost a folder of photos. Having won the Cambridgeshire Open Stake with him in 2006, we went to the Championship and on his second run he was sent for a pheasant that appeared to be hit but, due to topography, the fall could not be seen. Rave went on the line and out of site, a shout from one of the guns indicated a problem, Rave had tried to jump a very high wired fence and was found, when we got to him, hanging from a hind leg from the top twisted wire. No permanent injury was caused although that was obviously the end of his Championship. No one else was sent for the bird as the gun on the highest point was able to see that the bird never actually came down. After the championship Rave was exported to America. He was sired by FTCH Moonreed Flush out of FTCH Roughburn Lark.

Really tough ground underfoot with hidden water filled ditches. FTCH Deepfleet Van Persie’s first run in 2018 Springer Championship.

A couple that attended the recent Springer Championship contacted me to say they had a son of FTCH Deepfleet Jay and sent me a couple of photos. I was so impressed with one of the photos, it reminded me of what a great wildfowling dog JJ was, that I asked if I could use the photo. Permission was granted.
