Grendon Outdoor Learning Centre provides educational activities for all age groups ranging from 3-6 year olds to 6-adults.  We are part of Outdoor Learning Grendon Hall is a delightful Queen Anne house standing in 17 acres of grounds; our centre is located in the countryside village of Grendon, between Northampton and Wellingborough.

Grendon is the perfect place to host a residential experience, with homemade food, flexible accommodation and a friendly atmosphere.  

We also offer groups a range of activity days from half days to full days.

The Centre will endeavour to meet all types of special needs. However, if a member of your group does require special individual facilities we would invite you to visit the Centre prior to making a booking.

Our team of qualified and experienced Instructors work with the children throughout the day. Each is CRB cleared and qualified in First Aid.

Whilst supporting people’s learning through outdoor adventure in the traditional way the centre will also be seeking to reach whole new audiences, finding ways to support people’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing in a much broader sense. You could play a fundamental part in this exciting new approach to Outdoor learning. We are looking for talented and qualified Instructors to work with us here at Grendon hall who, have the experience of working with school children but are mature enough to adapt to a more varied client base. We are looking out for instructors that wish to develop their knowledge and skills set even as they help us develop our Outdoor activity programme. Roles and responsibilities will include; - Leading a broad range of activity sessions for a variety of different groups. - Liasing with school staff to promote and develop good working relationships and ensure that every school’s programme is tailor made to suit their needs. - Ensuring that best practice and relevant health and safety guidelines are adhered to. - General centre duties as tasked by a senior instructor/centre manager and the completion of a duty shift (extended paid day) at least once a week (during peak season) - Attending training and courses which will help enhance the experience for children and young people linking activities to education and social learning. The position will require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and all applicants must have an in-date first aid qualification before being considered for employment.
