The Nurture Barn is an upmarket indoor and outdoor play venue, filled with inspirational toys to fire up their imagination with a great café. This Facebook group will not tolerate comments which are hurtful or critical to others or aggressive and they will be taken down.
This idea started in Winter 2012. Other than our regular baby groups, in particular our local NCT ones, which were a lifeline for meeting friends for me and her, and which I still volunteer for, there was nowhere else I really wanted to take my baby daughter Olivia, especially in bad weather.
I wanted to have a good coffee and a healthy lunch in a clean environment with friends without worrying she would annoy people, running around. I wanted to go to places on my own, not feeling awkward. I wanted a calm, and if I am honest 'posher' place with good toys, which you only find at the best nurseries, that I couldn't afford. But it seemed a shame that parents were never allowed to experience those brilliant experiences with them and often mum and dad were at work.
So here it is The Nurture Barn - hopefully, through experience, the best kids' playroom, that they, nor you will ever want to leave.
No bookings required - open 7 days a week.
You can even rent it out for parties if you want at £12 a head weekends and £10 on weekdays.
I want to see dads there, grandparents there and a mixture of ages, all playing with wood and natural materials, inside and outside, simply using their imagination. I want non flustered guests who don't worry about their offspring running off = as we are all in it together.
Cost is £1 for under 6 months, £3.50 for 6 months to 2 years and £5 for 2 years - 6 years.

If you have never seen our Weaning Box, here it is- with a homemade organic feta and broccoli muffin made by Leigh of Mumma's Milk. Purees every day, veg and apple too. Yoghurts etc

Tomorrow and every Tuesday.Spaces available. New outdoor exercise class starting next Tuesday. Use your buggy or simply bring baby in the car seat or let them sit/play in shade. £5 pay as you go, book with barn and stay on for unlimited play. So you get a free exercise class if they are over 2+, or pay an extra £1.50 if they are between 6m-2y as max you pay is £5. All levels. Siblings welcome to come too and play in garden or help with whistles etc.

Newsflash Animal Petting by Babs Barnyard is CANCELLED today as Jo has been camping and hurt her hip. We are very sorry but the barn is still open 9-3.30 and just £2.50 all day and you can see the goats behind The Blue The Blue Egg.
