Come and see our unusual pets, try our new disc golf, have a picnic or just sit and have a coffee in a rural, scenic countryside location. Hill Farm We are a small petting farm in North Essex and are home to an unique collection of animals, including Maybe our hand reared wallaby, Roger the friendly Shire Horse, emus, rare bread chickens, pigs, goats, and sheep - to mention but a few.
At Hill Farm, we have a strong belief in inclusion and want everyone, regardless of ability and health, to be able to fully enjoy the farm. So we have worked hard to create an environment that allows the less-abled to fully participate in the petting farm - allowing grown-ups and children of all ability to get up close and friendly to the animals.
We have installed wheelchair safe paths, with most paddocks accessible to all. Our facilities include disabled toilets, a mobility wet room with shower, an electric height adjustable changing table and power facilities for a personal hoist. We are also able to offer rides across the beautiful local countryside on our especially designed disability tractor, which has a facility for carrying wheelchairs.

Morning, sorry for the late notice but Hill farm is closed today, we have an unwell animal and they have to come first. Sorry for any disappointment. But we will keep you updated. On a happier note we have had a couple of new additions born a couple of days ago, quail 🐣 thank you .
Hi, we are feed and rested so don't forget we are open today from 12pm. Our new hours will be Tuesday through to Friday from 12pm each day closed Saturday through to Monday. Thanks

Hi Friends, We were undecided as to whether to fight the council’s enforcement notice but due to your lovely comments, kind words and huge support it is showing us that maybe it is something we shouldn’t give up.
