'One for the men' Scottish 'Trapper' style hat. I have made this hat 'Ruairi' in waxed cotton fabric and lovely Scotland Forever Antique tartan with a winter white sherpa fleece lining. This makes it an attractive, as well as a cosy, practical hat. The waxed cotton fabric is shower proof and develops a lovely patina with wear, a bit like antique leather, giving it more character with age. It can be worn in three different ways: With all the flaps down, with just the small flaps up, or with all the flaps up, secured with the strap which can also be fastened under the chin when the flaps are down if you want to keep the wind off your ears.
