Hi all :) It's mid year already, and summer is here! Second part of the year looking bright and promising. It is an understatement to say the first part of the year has been challenging! I appreciate all that have stood with me in this moment of transition, and now what is needed to keep going all the more clearer. I apologise for all the inconvenience of not being able to reach me, truly, unavoidable circumstances. But now all is sorted and I'm getting ready to launch African Experience nights in 3 locations in Gloucestershire: 2 in Gloucester and launching The African Experience in Newent!!! So exciting!!! As most will know I've been hosting my guests at the Gloucester Conservative Club, lovely people who gave me a lifeline at a really low point, and looking forward to being here One Saturday every month. And for those that expressed the need to be in a more neutral ground, I'm excited to announce a partnership with Gloucestershire International School who are based at Wotton House (formerly Redcliffe College) as they have invited me to offer some African food as they set out to offer more pop up restaurant experiences. So this coming Saturday 17th we will be there from 7pm....With Wild game, name choma (barbecued meats) and a wide range of curries - meat, vegetarian and fish- on offer. It will be a great night of socialising and hopefully as many of you that can make it can come! Please email me on wanjawao@live.com and I will give you more details. Thanks for the continued support, all is going to be OK! :) God bless, Wanja

My baby and I have had the best day ever...even if we spent it working! So blessed that she loves to cook. Maybe her motivation runs deeper...she's been wanting to earn some money to buy something she really wants! Whatever the case, she is an absolute star! She's put in a proper shift! #agladmothersheart #teach a a child #blessingsaremadeofthis #lovemybaby
Been talking about tropical cocktails for ages, so nice to actually get it going now! Mark, a photographer from Citizen newspaper was about too ☺. We truly appreciate the support we have received from the whole team at Citizen. #blessed #nevergiveup #wherethereisawillthereisaway
Met the lovely Carly, an entertainment writer who came by today to talk about the upcoming cocktails we will be serving. #excitingtimes

This was meant to be a sunny day...actually, one of the hottest days of September. It did start out exactly as predicted, but as the day wore on it started to rain. Then followed some thundering...not exactly the bikini weather it was meant to be! How so much like some days and seasons of our lives! The promise for a bright future....things falling smoothly into place as we pursue our dreams...It doesn't always go according to plan, does it? We are embarking on a commemorative, celebratory event to mark 6 years since starting this venture, C&W's African Experience, and I can't help but marvel. Things have not always gone as hoped, but here we are still! 🙄As long as we have life, we know tomorrow will be a better day. And if not tomorrow, then the next day...or the next...or the next. You still got breathe in you? Still holding tight to your dream? Well, keep on believing! Tomorrow/next season ahead will be a better one.☺ #nevergiveup #amazinggrace #thereisalwaysasilverlining...
