Douglas Park Thomson McCrone team seeks a pair of club enthusiasts to make up our final pairing for the tie against Milngavie GC at Douglas Park on Sunday 7th May at 11.45 am. If you, and a regular partner - are available, please contact Brian Thistle, on 07767 80 25 80 this evening, before 11 pm if possible to let us know if you can make up the numbers. Season Opening Shotgun events at Douglas Park on Saturday 22nd April. Very well attended events for the Camel Trophy morning shotgun and Captain v. Past Captain event in the afternoon. Camel Trophy won by Scott Wallace & Adam Bisset with 45 !! Stableford points (better last 3 holes) Past Captain Brian Henry Thistle's team just edged it 10.5 to 4.5 in the "main event". Champion Ally Thomson chipping in for an Eagle 2 at the 18th and earlier, Steven Skelly aced the 12th for his first ever Hole in One. (Not bad for a 75 year old) Anyway, that's the club's Summer Season up and running and off to a flyer. We hope to see you all down here over the next few months and don't forget, if you have a pal at Douglas Park, they can get you a great discount on membership.
