Bognor Regis Sea Cadets
Description
The place for development of young people run by enthusiastic adult volunteers in the centre of Bognor Regis. It is Britain's most successful nautical organisation for the development of young people with Units run by enthusiastic adult volunteers.
We have a rank structure modelled on that of the Royal Navy, giving Cadets an opportunity to progress and take up positions of responsibility as they acquire skills and seniority. On reaching 18, many Cadets choose to stay on as adult instructors, when their training and talents become invaluable.

Bognor Regis & District Sea Cadets help launch the 2016 Poppy Appeal at Tesco Superstore Bognor Regis & District Sea Cadets proudly assisted in the launch of the 2016 Royal British Legion Appeal in Bognor Regis on Saturday 29 October 2016. Four cadets from the Unit stood tall and smart in their uniforms as a mark of respect for the what the occasion was about, remembrance along with representatives from the Royal British legion. The Town’s Tesco Superstore have established a ‘Garden of Remembrance’ where poppy seeds have been scattered, which should act as a memorial to those that have served their country in war and conflicts. The Officer in Charge of the cadet Unit said “this garden we be a place where the poignant words of the fallen are reflected – ‘At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them’ will be enacted each year as the poppies bloom in the morning air and individuals remember their lost ones, the memories living on through this little piece of ground”. The Officer in Charge also went on to say how marvellous it was that Tesco had taken on this initiative within the town. Its success is of course down to individuals who made it possible, three key people from Tesco, Jackie, Buster and Gary and they should be applauded for bringing this together.
