facebook.comWell that's panto over for another year and we are taking a well earned break for a few weeks. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us and we hope you have a fabulous Christmas. 🎄🎄🎄🎄
We are aware of the queues and have put off starting the show until more of our lovely audience are in! Do not panic! See you all soon!
Another great performance and fabulous audience last night (by the way you are our favourite so far ❤️) . No pressure tonight but we are expecting lots of noise from you ........ Nanny doesn't look very happy does she? Caption competition anyone? Please try and help our wonderful bar staff by pre ordering your interval drinks when you arrive. Doors open from 6.45pm tonight and tomorrow and 1.15pm for afternoon performances tomorrow and Sunday. Time to crank up the concrete mixer for Nanny's foundation - I get all the best jobs (!)
What a fabulous opening night - congratulations cast and crew - lots of festive Christmas clothing too jumpers and suits.......and really loud 'behind you' and 'boos' - that Sheriff of Nottingham is not a nice man (by the way you are our favourite audience so far ❤️). Don't forget to get your cast selfies and post them to our page. Did anybody accidentally leave a soft toy behind by mistake? We have found it after everyone had gone - if this is you please get in touch.
It's finally here - opening night for Robin Hood - we hope you have been practising your traditional 'boo' and 'behind you' as much as we have been practising everything else! If you are coming along to watch, the wearing of Christmas jumpers and attire is optional, but positively encouraged, along with selfies with our fabulous cast. Selfies can be posted to this page - we love to see them ❤️ So please join me in wishing our fabulous cast and crew 'Break a Leg' for our 2017 panto. Have fun everyone.....
One week tonight is opening night! To put it bluntly if you have not yet organised your tickets, you have very little time and we really want you to come and watch (subject to the security restrictions) if you can. We are confident that this will be the best £8 you spend this Christmas. So stop dilly dallying and order your tickets now, before the Box Office closes, you know you want to.......... email collingwoodrsc@sky.com
Two weeks until opening night – we are getting very excited – let’s see how we are doing: Cast members panicking about learning lines ✔ Costume department praying that the items ordered in September will arrive this week from China (they keep promising it has been shipped) ✔ Lighting can’t find THAT gobo – you know the one, we used 5 pantos ago ✔ Sound really need THAT doorbell – Director thinks just one pitch higher and it will be perfect ✔ Choreographer (through gritted teeth) “You are doing so well keep it up ✔ Program not yet sent to printers although they should have gone last week ✔ EXCELLENT – all normal then 🤣 It’s not too late to book your tickets (subject to the security restrictions) which are £8 each by emailing collingwoodrsc@sky.com but you really need to get a jiggle on as we need to confirm gate security well in advance of any performance. Final box office dates will be published in due course. *The incidents portrayed in this post are fictitious. No identification with actual persons is intended or should be inferred.
Just over a month until opening night and we are getting very excited. This weekend we are putting up the set, and in true Collingwood RSC tradition, and to keep up energy and spirits, we will treat ourselves to yummy pasties and cakes. Tickets are available by emailing collingwoodrsc@sky.com and are priced at £8 each, but don't forget we have security restrictions to follow. If you are not sure if you can get tickets, please contact us with your query.
We loved your jokes last week and have only just recovered from our side splitting injuries - only 7 weeks until opening night (dramatic scream and panicky faces from all cast and crew) 🎭 A quick ticket update, if you know someone who works at Collingwood they may be able to order tickets on your behalf as long as they are happy to vouch for you. If you email our box office, collingwoodrsc@sky.com the lovely Jane will be able to provide more information. Robin Hood is being played by the wonderfully talented Tom Rawlings who follows in the shoes of Russell Crowe, Jason Connery and Kermit the Frog – no pressure then!
Robin, our Dame, not Hood, needs a joke for a scene so we have been asking around. Aunty Beryl suggested: - What is Robin Hood's favourite radio programme? The Archers! (Groan) We think you can come up with something better but remember to keep it clean (!) No prizes for the best one, just a bit of fun for this autumnal night and it might get used in the production. If you havn't booked tickets yet you really need to get your order to Jane at collingwoodrsc@sky.com (please remember we have security restrictions this year so we can't sell directly to the general public). We promise the jokes will get better.
Our Dame has been reviewing costume options for this year - he thinks this is a bit tame and classy! Bring on the bling.........
