The Daisy Café just love our four legged friends (Daisy was the Dalmatian in the photo below - she lived until she was nearly 17 and she loved her food - hence the name of the café!) It has become a bit of a tradition in the time we have been open to offer our doggy visitors one of our award winning sausages. I decided that it would be nice to also feature photos of our four legged friends on our Facebook page. People seem to love seeing the happy faces of the doggies, and I have been told that some dogs have been recognised from their photos on here, whilst out on walks!!! Whilst daydreaming the other day I came up with what I think is a great idea! 🌼🌼’The Daisy Doggies Calendar’ 🌼🌼 I am thinking of getting some 2020 calendars made, featuring photos of our doggy visitors and selling them to raise money for a few charities close to our heart. We have always supported Force, our local cancer charity, but we would also like to raise funds for ‘SOBS’ (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide). Suicide is something that is not spoken about enough. It has affected both Matthew and I, and many other people out there, including one of our very dear regular customers. We will also donate to a local dog shelter (tbc) What do you think? Would you want your dog to be involved?! Hope you enjoy looking at the photos below of some of the gorgeous dogs who have visited our café over the past two years 😍😍😍 Havd a good day and I look forward to hearing your thoughts xxx

We have a very important announcement to make ... as well as having received a Gold award from Taste of the West, we are very excited and humbled to let you all know that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for the best café in the South West of England! Taste of the West are the largest independent food group in the UK, and their purpose is to promote and support fantastic food from the region (Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire) They have been going since 1991 and their ethos is still the same today as it’s always been ..... quality, integrity and provenance. The judges came into the café unannounced... they didn’t let us know until they had finished their meal that they were undercover shoppers!! Wow... we are very, very excited!! ❤️❤️❤️
