His Word in My Hands Training Day: The Tron Church, Glasgow, Saturday 17th March 2018 The day is intended for those who teach Sunday school, lead small group Bible studies, give talks at camps or holiday clubs, lead student work, or are thinking of doing a ministry apprenticeship, etc., and who feel they would benefit from some training. We aim to provide an introduction to the basic principles of how to understand the Bible correctly and to teach it. The training is ideal for students. Details of how to register are on our website: www.cornhillscotland.org.uk/conferences/

Come along on Sunday at 630pm for the first of our monthly "Searching For..." evenings. DOES CHRISTIANITY STILL MAKE SENSE? Today we live in a sceptical and secular society, where the majority of people go through their daily lives quite comfortably without sparing a thought for God. Nevertheless the story our culture tells about the world has left many with a feeling of "flatness" (a sense of something missing), as well as an inescapable longing for "fullness" (a desire for something more). Our society is "haunted" by experiences that remind us that there is more than the natural here-and-now world (e.g. longings of love, moments of beauty, convictions about justice and rationality, hope in the face of death). Human beings are still searching for something or someone that will enable us to truly flourish - a life filled with significance, purpose, love, freedom, happiness, and hope. But where can it be found? The good news is that the gospel of Jesus offers the better story that makes sense and meets these deepest needs of our hearts. On the 4th Sunday evenings in 2018 we'll explore these issues in our new "SEARCHING FOR..." series. It will show how Christianity makes sense culturally, emotionally and rationally today. See this as a resource that will help you live as an individual believer immersed in our secular culture. Also see this as an opportunity to invite along sceptical or searching individuals who are curious about hearing more about Jesus in an accessible way. At the heart of the service will be a "lunchbar" style talk (with an apologetic "run up" and relevant "run through" of the gospel) followed by a 10 minute live Q&A.
