Perfect pistes have greeted festive skiers and boarders in Ischgl this week, with the Tirolean resort boasting some of the best snow conditions in the Austrian Alps. “Ischgl has some of the best cover of any non-glacial resort in Austria at the moment,” said one of the editors of digital ski publication WeLove2Ski, who chose Ischgl for his family Christmas break. “Perfect packed snow and not a pebble or a patch in sight. All valley runs open with good cover. And we’ve had a 5-10cm top up, too. Ischgl pistes are perfect.” The ski hub of Idalp has a 40cm snow base and the resort’s 1100 snow cannons and skilled grooming are keeping the pistes in great shape. well we have guests in 3 of our french resorts now and our chalet hosts are getting into the swing of things - here are a couple of photos of afternoon tea in Montgenevre and some lemon tarts they had baked. (and a lovely sunset too)
