Schwartz Rounds Schwartz Rounds are an opportunity for all staff, clinical and non-clinical of any discipline or grade to come together and reflect on the emotional impact of the work we all do. Each month a panel of staff volunteer to share their views, thoughts and experiences on a particular topic, supported by a trained facilitator. All staff are welcome to be part of the audience: to listen to the panels’ reflections and contribute to a general discussion at the end of the session – however, audience participation is not compulsory, so feel free to come along and just listen if you prefer. Next rounds (including a light lunch from 12.30pm) • Wednesday 1st February – 1.00pm to 2.00pm – Lecture Theatre, Education Centre, EDGH • Monday 20th February – 1.00pm to 2.00pm – Lecture Theatre, Education Centre, Conquest Hospital If you or your team would like to be part of the panel or have a suggestion for a Schwartz Round topic please contact the facilitators below. Rounds are facilitated by Farida Malik, Palliative Care Consultant, Angela Busuttil, Consultant Psychologist, Gerard Gould, Anaesthetics Consultant and Kim Boorman, Staff Wellbeing Lead.
EMPLOYEES ONLY - Launch of the Trust Awards 2017 We are proud to be launching our Trust Awards 2017. These awards give us all the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the great work carried out by colleagues across our organisation. We have achieved a great deal over the past year and made significant improvements in many areas. This is a chance to recognise the hard work and commitment of colleagues that have helped make this possible. Have a look at the categories below and make your nominations of individuals or teams. Lots of great work goes on day in day out, and although we hope that everyone realises that we, as a Trust Board, recognise and appreciate this work, being nominated for a Trust Award is something different and something very special, because the nominations are from colleagues. You have until 28th February 2017 to make your choices, but don’t wait until then, get the ball rolling now and make your nominations. Anyone can nominate and you can nominate your team colleagues or ward, department or service. All the award information is available on the Trust Extranet. The award ceremony will again be held in May at the iconic De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea. This is a great venue and the awards evening is always a very special event enjoyed by all those lucky enough to be nominated for an award.
