WHATS MISSING IN THIS PICTURE? We got a great picture in the sun recently but there is something missing...can you see what it is and we will have to change it ASAP!

Yesterdays Labrador VS Spaniel went to ...... TEAM LABRADOR!! A brief summary of each dogs performance: Vinnie: he lacked confidence on the set up, especially for the blind retrieve but once he settled and trusted the handler he took great lines. He slowed down beautifully to hunt for the tennis ball and for this reason he came back with every retrieve he was sent for. He handled well too. Our homework for him is going to be blind retrieves just to build that confidence. Heidi: She took great lines, she trusted her handler and never doubted the instructions she was given. Her downfall was speed, once at the area she was hunting too fast and listening a little less, for this reason not every retrieve was a success due to her handler calling her back early as he did not feel she deserved it! Our homework for her is going to be listening better at distance, especially to that hunt whistle! Running total : Labrador 1 - Spaniel 1

We still have lots of flood water in the meadow fields that we are using to make our training sessions even more challenging. Gaz is drawn to the water and can’t normally control his excitement but this was a good day and he was very well behaved!

SPANIEL VS LABRADOR ROUND 2 Today we pushed to the max, blind retrieves on tennis balls at 150m+ and seen/memory retrieves on dummies at around 50m+ across the field and over a stream. Blind followed by memory for each dog 3 times.... Who do we think won this round?

HAPPY EASTER 🐣 🐑 🐶 SHARE SHARE SHARE Easter is here and that means so is lambing time, so we thought we would share a lovely video of some young lambs playing together safely in a barn. For many of us out for some family dog walks this week end you may be lucky enough to se this wonderful sight first hand in the field. We are asking you to share this video to first of all wish everyone a happy Easter but mainly to remind dog owners to keep their dogs on lead whist in fields with ANY LIVESTOCK. As per normal the amounts of attacks on sheep as sky rocketed since early March and we need to do our best to prevent it from happening where we walk. Please SHARE this post far & wide!

Vinnie has always been a bit of a show off but even this is a little keen. I’m not sure exactly what he was hoping for here?

We will have a single Springer Spaniel pup up for sale soon as we make our first pick out of what we have kept back. We are looking for a fast, hard going and very driven dog and all of these pups have caught our eye from the start so what ever pup we choose to rehome it will fit into a active family home or a shooting home.

SPANIEL V LABRADOR COMPETITION CANCELLED!!!! A slight change of plans this afternoon as these two decided to start lambing within minutes of each other...I suppose it gives the labs a little longer to get some practice in!
