Local food heroes! Found a little shed while out and about yesterday where I got fresh eggs from the chickens I saw, and our fabulous Wee Butcher. All local produce. The quality is superb. For first time the browned minced beef smelt like my grannies mince! I may make mince and tatties for first time in 30 years. I have never got it to taste like my grannies who got hers minced fresh too! He just cut a chunk of a shoulder on his slab and minced it before my eyes! Same for the shoulder pork mince. But tonight I have chilli simmering. As you can see it's the weather for something spicy and comforting!
