Everyone knows that we need more commitment from members to play for either senior team as this small village club fights very hard to provide great opportunities for players to make the transition from junior teams to the seniors which will make club stronger .The fact that it has long been strong family club is testament to the hard working committe members are doing over all the year round and the meadow is getting back into shape and drying out and groundsmen Tommy and Jack have square cut ready for rolling and in preparation for the start of another season. The club will announce plans next week to run eight week scheme in ten schools including three or four secondary schools which can only be good for the future but no doubt the present season is also the main concern .With five very good young all rounders Jack Calvert Patrick Calvert Peter Calvert Adam Symington and Scott Symington all at University we need everyone to try there utmost to play for both teams as much as possible young and old as its a club that is close to everyones heart and ive no doubt be hard to get back to section one but we can enjoy trying .Prem Ahire has been announced as captain and hopefully we can start getting practice better attended and bring more ideas to make it fun and enjoyable to attend and seconds captain Dave Williams no doubt will have his Cornwall twist on practice which might include games involving cider after .Lets pray for good warm spring and sunny easter and roll on the 2016 season .PS feel free to add any thoughts or ideas that you think might improve the club or practice as its your club not mine .
