Pallets wanted for Himley bonfire People are being urged to donate their unwanted pallets to help build a huge bonfire at Himley Park on Saturday November 4th. Bosses at the Dudley Council-owned beauty spot are appealing for help from local companies who can donate unbroken, wooden pallets to build the giant bonfire for this year’s event, which takes place on Saturday November 4th. Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member for planning and economic development, said: “The fireworks and bonfire display at Himley is the largest council-run display in the country. “Every year the event is tremendously supported by local companies donating huge numbers of pallets and we hope this time it will be no different. “Anyone who can help is urged to get in touch as soon as possible.” Only wooden pallets can be accepted and not garden rubbish, tree trunks or old furniture. Companies wishing to dispose of their pallets and are able to deliver to Himley Park should call (01384) 817817. Pallets cannot be collected.
