facebook.comHousing Options Scotland will be holding events to give housing information, advice and support to disabled people, older people, disabled veterans and those who support them. These events will include talks on ownership, private renting and social renting. They will also include short talks from invited local and national organisations who work with disabled people and information stalls from carers organisations, disability organisations, advocacy organisations and many more. We are holding one of these events at the Caol Community Centre, Glenkingie Street, Caol, Fort William, PH337DS on the 3rd August between 10am and 3pm. So people can come along, listen to the talks that will be repeated throughout the day, have a cup of tea and speak to the organisations gathered to get advice and information.

Please read, share and then share some more. This is a 'wake-up call', with the provision of respite care now a major concern for unpaid carers. "The vast majority of carers (86%) said they "struggle" to take time away from caring duties, with the care needed not being on offer the largest reason behind the difficulty (29%)" Unpaid carers need all the support we can give them so if you are, or know someone who is caring, please get in touch for advice, support and information that may help you in your caring role. www.connectingcarers.org.uk or 01463 723575
