Week 3 guys and only 2 days to go... phewww been a great session... last lap now thank the big fella, and I'm not talking about me lol.... Thanks to all the students, teachers and parents for making the effort in keeping the exams running smoothly..

Well that's the first week over guys and a fabulous week it was. Well done to everyone who took part so far, and that includes the perants in the waiting room lol.. you all did well also with your nerves 😉..see the rest of you all from Monday..

Paedophile Charges Jonathon Hutton Hi Guys, Im sure a few of you know by now that Johnny Hutton was arrested today outside the studio on Paedophile charges. If you have him booked for accompanying then you must now get a new accompanist for your students. And just to clarify he was never employed here nor was I ever his boss. He was a freelance musician. My apologies for the disruption to the exams today but is was unavoidable.

Hi guys 2 weeks until the November exam session. All appointment slips have been sent out, the last of them sent on 5th October. Can I ask those who have not confirmed their app slips to do so via email please.. cheers

A headsup guys... .2018 syllabus is valid from 1 January 2018. The 2015–2017 syllabus will remain valid until 31 December 2018, giving a one year overlap. During this time, candidates may present pieces and technical work from the 2015–2017 or the 2018–2020 syllabus, but not both. Candidates should indicate which syllabus they are presenting on the appointment form handed to the examiner at the start of the exam.

Guys, for those who receive materials by post, i am just waiting of entry forms from trinity. In the meantime see letter below. Pass this on please Dear Teacher I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new teachers to the Trinity College London Exams, and by the looks of things some returning teachers also. The examination centre is Birchwoods Recording Studio at the above address. The closing date for the November 2017 Exams will be 22nd September. The start date has not yet been confirmed. However, I would advise you to prepare your students for exams commencing on Monday 13th November. As we are now looking for all correspondence to be via email, I would urge you to put a viable email address on your entry form. Please find enclosed the new 2017-2018 Fee Sheet. Once again note all sections of the application form must be completed, please indicate if the following has changed; name, address, phone number, email if applicable. If your students exceed 14 then just follow the format on an additional piece of paper. Please take note that once the timetable has been completed it will NOT changed. Could you please make all cheques payable to Sean Woods, however, cash is also accepted. If you are receiving this but are no longer an active teacher please let me know. If you later decide you would like to teach again then just contact me at the beginning of December for the March exams, the beginning of March for the May/June exams and the beginning of September for the November exams. Rock & Pop exams now taking place here in Derry-Londonderry at Birchwoods Recording Studio

Hear we go, pardon the pun.... trying telling nearly 500 students that just passed through these doors for their Trinity Music Exams that this is the way forward. I would always encouraged this as I lectured on Listening Skills and Aural Awareness in the North West Regional College for a few years. However, this is not for everyone, particular if you do not intend to be involved with music as a career. But it never hurts to learn a new skill...
