Sharky's Swimmers Hi my name is Anna Bentley and I am the founder and organiser of Sharky’s Swimmers Ltd.
Having only 3 children per class for our beginner swimmers with the teacher in the water is a great benefit. The improver and advanced classes have 4 children and the teacher is on the side. This structure helps children learn to swim with the support and personalised teaching that they need to succeed.
Children are organised into classes that best suit their needs. If you have more than one swimmer in your family it is often possible to have both swimmers in the water at the same time, in different classes.
Swimmers are welcome from the age of 3 upwards for lessons. Parents do not need to be in the water at this point but is recommended that prior swimming experience is gained so that the children are comfortable in the water on their own with the teacher.
Before the age of 3 Sharky’s Little Swimmers is an ideal way to get your little one confident in the water and ready to take instructions from a teacher. In this session we sing songs, play games and teach the children how to be safe in water (children are never too young to learn these vital life saving skills). There is also time for some free play with the toys.
Sharky's Swimmers runs classes at two locations:
Woodlands School, Allestree
Cloudside School, Sandiacre

If you are unsure which class you require please call me and we can discuss your child’s ability and needs to ensure the correct class is allocated.

It's time to CELEBRATE 🎉🎊 Next month Sharky's Swimmers will be 20years old! I started the swim school with just a handful of swimmers and gradually over the years the swim school has grown considerably! There is only one way to celebrate and that's a pool party!! *Sunday 8th April *3-4pm or 4-5pm *Woodlands pool, Allestree *Floats, inflatables and cake! *Under 8s must have an adult in the water with them. Our Supersonic Sharks have been set a challenge to swim the English Channel. That's 35,000m or 1,750 lengths of our pool! Between 7 swimmers a total of 712 lengths were completed today in just 1 hour! AMAZING WORK!! 🏊
