Today in Baby Owls a little girl said on her way to nursery she wanted to "paint my feet". To follow her interest we provided an activity for the children to explore the paint with their feet and create their own footprints. #AbacusDayNursery#BabyOwls#followinginterests#messyplay

Today the Big Badgers have enjoyed looking and reading the little red hen storybook. To follow on from reading the book we began to make our own bread. The children engaged in stirring the ingredients together and enjoyed kneading the dough ready to go into the oven to bake. 🍞

The Big Bears and Big Badgers had a great time at their Graduation Prom on Saturday. There was lots of fun and games with all the children showing us their best dance moves. They all did an amazing job singing their songs that they had been practising for all the parents and carers that came to watch, putting on a great show. We wish all the Pre School boys and girls the very best of luck in their new adventure of starting school. #classof2019 #bigschool

As part of Give a Day to the City project, which involves giving back to the community through time and skills. We at Abacus Day Nursery have been creating Plants of Joy, which involved the children decorating plant pots and giving them away to various places within the local community. Some of the children visited the hospice next door and was greeted by their Mascot "Hugo" when delivering some of our "plants of joy". They will be donated to people who are perhaps going through a difficult time and to hopefully make them smile. #AbacusDayNursery #GiveaDaytotheCity #PotsOfJoy

This morning Big Badgers went to the forest. The children enjoyed playing a game called 'a bug in a rug', Each child took it in turns to hide and the rest of the children had to guess which one of their friends were hiding. Then we went on a leaf hunt and used hammers to create our own leaf pictures. We collected sticks from the forest to create a stick fish pictures for our summer display board. 🌲🌳🔨#AbacusDayNursery#ForestSchool#BigBadgers
