S1 recently cooked their own dishes from a variety of countries for their "foods of the world" project. Pupils gave a group presentation on their chosen country before researching and cooking independently a recipe from that country. We had Apple Strudel from Austria, Chocolate Soufflé from France, Belgian pancakes, Swiss Fondue, Italian Carbonara, New Zealand Lamb, Greek Chicken & Quinoa salad, pizzas, brownies and more. #yum #learningforlife #lifeskills

Our S1, S2 and S3 athletics team competed against Dollar Academy, George Heriot's School and The High School of Dundee yesterday in the first of this season's athletics fixtures. There were some fanatic individual performances but the most successful team of the afternoon was the S1 team who finished in 2nd place. Well done to everyone who took part! 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏻

Some of the ante-preschool children had the chance to enjoy a morning with one of their friends, Niamh, at her home in the countryside. Last week we ate a whole variety of eggs from Niamh’s chickens and ducks. Yesterday was her 4th birthday so we joined her to enjoy a morning in the sun with her chickens and ducks. We also enjoyed a birthday cupcake and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ of course. 🎂 🌞

Primary 3 had a wonderful day out at Callendar House in Falkirk last week. We discovered how the Roman army dressed, built a replica defence system and got an insight into what life was like living in a fort. The sun was shining as we dressed as Roman soldiers and marched to the Antonine Wall. After all that hard work it was time for a picnic in the stunning grounds and a well-deserved rest/play.

Last Friday, a team of Transitional pupils travelled to St Leonards School in St Andrews to take part in their annual Techno Challenge. 25 teams spent the day involved in problem solving activities in Science, Language, IT and Maths. At the end of the day the teams met together to finish with a Maths relay. Our Transitional pupils thoroughly enjoyed the day and gained hugely from the experience.
