159 Regiment RLC
Description
159 Regiment is the premier Army Reserve Regiment of the Royal Logistic Corps based in the Midlands. RECRUITING NOW 159 Regiment is the premier logistic unit of the Army Reserve and we are recruiting now. If you are interested in joining the Army Reserve please send us a personal message and one of our team will get back to you within 24 hours to talk you through joining our team.
159 Regiment RLC has undergone seismic change during 2014. The Regiment is now primarily focussed in the West Midlands, with the Regimental Headquarters in Coventry and Squadron locations in Coventry, West Bromwich, Burton upon Trent and Stoke. The Regiment also have a Squadron located in Grantham, in the East Midlands.
The personal qualities, such as fitness, self-discipline and leadership, which are taught by the British Army are the envy of the world. We place a high value on initiative and team work as a Regiment and dedicate specific training time to developing our soldiers' leadership skills - skills which they use on a daily basis in their regular employment to get ahead.
Our challenging training programme develops and pushes individuals to become fitter, more confident and more robust. The technical training qualifies soldiers in the highest technical standards to be able to move, store, maintain and issue every item required to support the Army in all conditions. These practical skills place our Reservists at the forefront of their trade and allow those employed in the Logistics' sector to remain ahead of the game.
Following completion of basic soldier training, all Reservists learn a trade qualification, in our unit we specialise in providing highly qualified Logistic Specialist (Supply) soldiers, although we have many other trades including Chefs, Physical Training Instructors, Drivers and Administrators.
If you are interested in pushing yourself, gaining professional or personal qualifications, or just want to know a little more about what we do, then send us a personal message, call in to one of our Army Reserve Centres, or drop them a line, and we will take you through the next steps.

As we break for some well earned leave we sadly had to say goodbye to WO2 Robbie Allen last week who has jumped ship and decided to embark on a new career. He completed his full service in the Regular Army before joining us to aid in recruitment. Despite being only 5 foot his presence was felt throughout the unit and he worked tirelessly both in work and out as a football referee. He will be greatly missed! It is certainly our loss and we wish him and his wife Andrea and children a fantastic Christmas and all the best for the future! You will be missed. #MovingOn #5FootNothing #GreatGuy #Career #YouWillBeMissed #159Regt #ThankYou
Great day yesterday at the annual Christmas Cake competition. There was some fierce competitors but the Quartermaster, Maj G Oliver was victorious. Although the word on the street is he had a little help... All money raised (£201) will be split between two very worthy charities. A cake was also donated to the local fire station; Canley Fire Station to show our appreciation for all of their hard work and also a local church! Merry Christmas to those on leave and the end is in sight for those that have a few more days to push 🎅🏻 #CakeComp #Annual #159Regt #FireService #WelDone #StewardsEnquiry #Cake #WellDone
