Almost time for Cottingham Methodist Church Music Festival harp classes! If you're near Zion United Reformed Church on Saturday 11th February, why not come along and hear 16 of my students perform. The under 11s are at 930am, under 14s at 1030 and the seniors at 1245. If that's not enough, from 2pm the duet and ensemble classes are taking place. Happy New Year everyone! I hope it's been a restful time for some of you at least!! I'm looking forward to resuming lessons this afternoon as we get ready for the first music festival of the year right here in Cottingham Methodist Church! A small group of students will be performing with me at Toll Gavel Methodist Church (Beverley) on Thursday evening at 7pm for their Mary's Eve service. Should be a lovely evening!

Fantastically proud of my Year 13 students Hannah and Cerys who have been offered places at Royal Northern college of Music, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama! What fabulous news and a marvellous effort from them both!

I'm playing my first Ceremony of Carols of the year next Friday 7th October in Ampleforth Abbey with the exceedingly fine Westminster Cathedral Choristers. If you're free please come along - a 7.30pm start. I'm very much looking forward to it!

It's almost time for the harp weekend being held in Raywell - East Yorkshire - so if you would like to try out a harp for the very first time - why not come along to see what it's all about! There will be an exhibition of small hand-made harps by Starfish Designs - Scotland.
