My oldest loves reading 'Snail brings the mail', one of our Phonics Readers books that he bought with his World Book Day token. With simple, rhyming text and phonic repetition specially designed to develop essential language and early reading skills, it's a hilarious story to share aloud together, or for children to tackle on their own. I will certainly be getting him some more from this range with my free book allowance!

Do you have a reading nook in your house? I created a simple nook by putting my son's playmat on the floor and putting some of our favourite books in a basket. It's big enough for both boys to sit in together without taking up too much space. I'm looking forward to getting our extension so I can give them a proper reading space. My apologies for the lack of posts the last few days. We took the children to legoland on Thursday and Friday, went to a wedding on Saturday and then I put my feet up for Mother's Day yesterday. Back to 'work' today though posting out orders, following up phone calls for a book pledge and getting organised for Framlingham Country Show which takes place in 2 weeks.
