Hope you like our Christmas Tree that we put up and decorated last week - we think it adds some festive cheer! Thank you to Matt Croughan and his friend for their help.
We'd like to thank Junior and Rena for organising such a wonderful evening which raised £5,430 which we will be able to use at the hospital. Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary - here's to the next 25 years!
Over £700 was raised from our recent Christmas Hamper Raffle - thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and to those who kindly sold tickets on our behalf. The 3 lucky winners were Michelle Harrison (Clevedon), Yvonne Childs (Clevedon) and Val Sanders (Cheddar) - hope you enjoy your hampers. Thank you also to League of Friends Committee Member David Greedy & his wife Anita who kindly donated and made up the hampers.
Hoping today goes well for everyone at the newly refurbished In-Patients Unit as they prepare to welcome & accept their first patients later today.
Thank you to Judith Brown, CEO of NSCP & Sara Harding, Director of Operations NSCP, who gave us a guided tour of the newly refurbished In-Patients earlier this evening. We were impressed with the works that have been carried out and the unit has been given a new lease of life. Judith & Sara explained how patients and staff will benefit from the changes and improvements made - such as the dementia friendly wall colourings to differentiate areas, the new dining area where patients will be able to eat together downstairs away from their beds, and the "behind the scenes" changes such as the new equipment in the sluice room and the new kitchen areas. A great deal of unseen work has had to be carried out to the fabric of the building such as removing asbestos, plumbing, wiring, as well as replacing drafty old windows. It's been a big project and a lot of hard work, so well done to everyone involved - looks like a job well done!
We were delighted to be shown around the In-Patients Unit earlier this evening - it looks fantastic after its refurbishment.
We're looking for any photographs of the hospital (from any era) for an event to be held in March - please let us know if you have anything you'd be able to let us have, scan, borrow . . .
We've just added another venue to our list of where you can purchase your Christmas Hamper Raffle Tickets - massive thank you to Chris at Complete Health Clinic which is based on the Clevedon Hall site. 🤗🤗 https://www.facebook.com/CHCClevedon/
Fantastic news that the Inpatients Unit at the hospital WILL be re-opening before Christmas. We have already donated some funds supporting the refurbishment works that have taken place, and will be further involved with funding items for the refurbished unit over the coming weeks/months. We wish everyone the very best for its re-opening. 😀
