We recently sat down with Paul Hayes with a quick 60 second interview to find out a bit more about what his thoughts of Ongar are and his plans for the future there. What do you think draws people to the Ongar area? Let’s be honest about it, why wouldn’t you want to live in Ongar?! It’s a fantastic close knit community surrounded by stunning Essex countryside, yet is only 15 minutes’ drive from Brentwood and Epping High Street and their respective train stations. What does Ongar mean to you? Ongar is me. I was born here, I’ve raised my family here and now I have opened an office here. I have always loved this town and the people that live here, me and my family have always felt happy and safe here. What’s your favourite memory of Ongar? Ah that’s a difficult one…. There are so many happy memories including a happy childhood growing up in Shelly to various family memories including my daughters first day at Dr Walkers school, to watching my sons play football on Sundays and the latest which was watching my nephew Joe walk down the Aisle with his new bride Jade. You’ve been an estate agent for 25 plus years, what do you love about your job? Wow, where to start? I think one of the biggest things I love about what I do is helping people. Whether it be helping them to buy their dream home, or selling a property so they can start the business they have always dreamed of. Doing this job, you realise everyone really is unique and has their own story. It’s one of the biggest motivators for me and reinforces part of our company ethos of personal service and why we treat every person as an individual and not just another client. We care about every client, all of our staff are passionate about helping people with their properties.
