Don’t miss the Chichester College Jobs & Volunteering Fair next week. Several companies and organisations will be present, promoting any current vacancies or opportunities that you can get involved with. The event is open to everyone and will help you gain an insight into careers within different industries and sectors and at the same time speak to experts representing them. The fair will at Brinsbury Campus on Tuesday 8 March (11.30am-2pm) and at Chichester Campus on Wednesday 9 March (11am-2pm).

Are you aged 19 or under and travel to college by bus? If so, it’s time to have your say! The County Council is reviewing the 3in1 card service, which provides a discount on bus tickets in West Sussex. They want to know what you think and whether you want to see the service remain. To mark International Art Week, artist Jiang Hongsheng (Jack) held two traditional Chinese painting workshops at the college for our Level 3 art and design students. They replicated his techniques to produce some stunning paintings of a peony. They were also given the opportunity to contribute to a 100 metre scroll, made from Xuan paper (traditional fine-textured rice paper), featuring work from students from across the globe.

It's been a busy couple of weeks here and our students have been benefiting from some great workshops from the professionals. Just last week we welcomed one of Britain's leading barbers - Mike Taylor - to Chichester, giving several barbering demonstrations throughout the day in our salon.

It’s always a pleasure to welcome guest lecturers to the college – and recently we were lucky enough to have world renowned designer Julian Roberts on campus. He gave our first and second year fashion students a masterclass in subtraction cutting, and they went on to showcase their own fabulous efforts in a display in E-Block.
