The Old Harkers Arms
Description
This is a proper old city of London boozer, only in Chester, that has a really good reputation for its food - it’s a great meeting place over a pub lunch, and at different times you’ll find half the commercial and professional heart of the city in there. It’s a very social place with a lovely clubby atmosphere, and you’re pretty much bound to meet someone interesting.

Its a beautiful evening on the Shropshire Union, made even better by the 11, yes 11, cask ales on from Castle Rock. A few of the boys from the brewery are down should you want to talk beer. We prefer to let the beer do the talking... Castle Rock Brewery CAMRA Chester & South Clwyd #taptakeover #beers #pies #morebeers

With some 40 years plus brewing under there belts and many national awards including the prestigious Supreme Champion Beer of Britain, it gives us great pleasure to welcome Castle Rock brewery for our next Tap Takeover. This Thursday we will have 10 Castle Rock ales, from classics like Harvest pale and Elsie Mo, to some more modern hop bombs like Waiting for the sun and IPA V2. Some of the chaps from the brewery will be dropping in early doors if you want to know how they work their magic in the brew house! See you at the bar! Castle Rock Brewery CAMRA Chester & South Clwyd

We can put a man on the moon but we cant...(a pint for the best reply) This Friday to celebrate 50 years since Neil Armstrong jumped nervously onto the moon surface we will be mostly drinking Apollo 19, a collaboration between Wincle brewery and Fiddlers Green social brewers. If there is any left we will also be drinking it on Saturday!
Amber decided tonight that pouring pints wasn't for her but Morris Dancing was! As Harkers once again hosted the annual visit of the Kinnerton Morris Men! Lots of stick whacking, bell ringing and of course dancing! They are still performing now if you need an excuse for a pint.
