Providing fun and educational animal encounters for children and adults! We offer exciting, hands on animal encounters for people of all ages and abilities.

Our encounters can be tailored to all sorts of activities - from weddings, to kid's parties and from residential homes to schools, Chester Exotic Animals has an animal encounter to suit you.

From creepy crawlies and reptiles to exotic mammals and birds of prey, we've got something for everyone!

Something very close to my heart is working with those with special needs and disabilities. We are experienced in these areas and many of our animals are trained therapy animals too. Animals can make such a difference in the life of someone with special needs and it's just wonderful to see the bond between them.

All of our animals are much loved parts of the family first and foremost and love being handled. As experienced keepers of exotics, we ensure that each of our animals has everything they need to live an enriched and healthy life - that's why our animals are so happy!

We also offer a personalised holiday boarding service for small animals and exotic pets. We have indoor and outdoor environments for a range of pets, from guinea pigs and rabbits, to skunks. We have specialised environments for african pygmy hedgehogs, sugar gliders, skinny pigs and provide a loving, family environment for much loved pets. For price list, please get in touch :) Discounts are often offered for extended stays :)

Good morning everyone! After a few months of quietness there's some exciting news! Chester Exotic Animals has got a new owner who will be running encounters from her fabulous venue on the Wirral! Now linked with Ty Mavis Pony Sanctuary all the hard work Chester Exotic Animals put into rescuing and rehabilitating animals over the years will be continued in future too. Encounter stars Angus and Daisy (the skunks), Medusa (the spectacular, huge boa constrictor), our beautiful leopard geckos and lots of new friends will be taking part in encounters so make your bookings soon to avoid dates being filled! Thank you all so much for your support and all the wonderful times we've had on encounters - I know Alice and her team will continue with the same enthusiasm and passion! Xxx

Good afternoon everyone. It is with much sadness that I am announcing that due to personal reasons Chester Exotic Animals will no longer be doing animal encounters. We did our last ones last week, and it was very emotional saying goodbye to this wonderful job. I've had an amazing time, and worked with some amazing animals and humans, but sadly it's time for me to move on to a new part of my life. I think I've been in touch with everyone who had an encounter booked, but if by accident I've missed anyone out, please get in touch. As many of the animals as I can afford to keep as pets I am doing, but some of our encounter animals will be looking for new homes, including some snakes, lizards, tortoises and an african pygmy hedgehog. I'll post more information about the animals looking to be rehomed in due course, but for the time being, if anyone is interested, please get in touch for more information. Finally, thank you so much for all your support over the past few years, we've had an amazing, unforgettable time and loved every minute!

Had a fab time yesterday on an encounter in Knutsford! You can tell animal people a mile off and I've never met such a lovely family of animal people - I can see this young lady working with animals in the future!
