Chesham Town Council
Description
Chesham Town Council is the most local of the three tiers of local government serving Chesham, which also includes Chiltern District Council and Buckinghamshire County Council. Chesham Town Council has 19 councillors, each elected for a term of four years. Each year, a Town Mayor is elected in May. In addition to the Council, there are four committees where decisions are considered and made. The Council is responsible for the town's parks and open spaces, the cemetery, St. Mary's churchyard, 3 allotment sites, the Elgiva, Chesham Moor Gym & Swim, sports pitches, playgrounds and town flowerbeds.
