Description
Cheltenham's oldest remaining brewery, Battledown is a traditional brewery that makes great beers using the finest ingredients. Come try for yourself. Contrary to Folklore, Battledown was never the site of a great war, nor is it the ghostly tomb to thousands of warriors. The land started as a humble farm to one man and his family, Baedala. Although not the axe-swinging hero you may read about in books, he was a man that respected the land and cherished the fruits of it. Today we brew our ale true to the spirit of Baedala, focusing on the finest local ingredients and a hard working tradition that goes back centuries.

Well we have made our move! Battledown Brewery is now up and running in Dowdeswell Park and open for business as usual. We are easy to find and we have loads of car parking. We are still on the A40 but we are now up near Dowdeswell Reservoir on the left as you head out of town (you'll see the sign) Open today till 6.00 and tomorrow morning till 1.00.
We'll be wrapping up warm for the Cheltenham Farmers Market Tomorrow from 9:00-14:00 selling bottles and gift packs for all those last minute shoppers - don't say we don't look after you! Shop also open as usual until 18:00 too.

Time to think of ordering your beers for Christmas. We'll be open every week day up until noon on Christmas Eve. We've got bottles, barrels, polypins and seven beers to chose from. It's also your last chance to visit us in our old premises. Yes, we're moving to a bigger and better place and what's more it will have plenty of parking space!! After Christmas we will be at Dowdeswell Park which is on the London Road (A40) just east of Charlton Kings and just west of Dowdeswell Resevoir in what used to be called 'The Barlands'.
