Our next meeting is this coming Tuesday, 13th February. As most of you are aware the Committee decided to incorporate this into a workshop making roses for the upcoming Region 7 exhibition on 8th September. Even if you haven’t made roses before it doesn’t matter as there should be enough hands available to help you. Some make roses in various ways and hopefully you will get the chance to look, learn and have a go. Please remember to bring along a small non-stick board, a small non-stick rolling pin, firm pad and a few tools such as dog bone, ball tool etc. A good quality plastic bag may also come in useful. Please note : NO large tool boxes as there just isn’t room. Thank you all very much. Look forward to seeing you on Tuesday. Drive carefully.

The wonderful Eddie Spence MBE has announced his retirement. We here at Chelmsford have been very lucky to see Eddie in action many times and some of us have been to his classes all arranged via his long standing friendship with Jo Flight and her family, who we sadly said goodbye to nearly 5 years ago. We wish both Eddie and Tracy a very happy retirement. Thank you so much for showing and teaching us your love of RI🙂 💕 xx Eddie’s Announcement via FB: Further to the notice on Tracy Spence Facebook page. I would like to thank everyone for their kind words. It is with great sadness that I have finally had to make the decision to fully retire from teaching due to my health. I cannot believe the distances some of you travelled to learn from me. I always found it emotional saying goodbye after classes. I have thoroughly loved every minute of my career, met so many lovely people many who have gone on to be become dear friends and even tutors . Thank you for all the enjoyment fun and laughter . One book, one DVD ,several appearances on TV ,Four Lifetime Achievement Awards , 9cakes for The Royal Family And a M.B.E from The Queen . Not too bad a career for a wee lad from the slums of Edinburgh. 😊 I know you will all keep The Art of Royal Icing Alive . "If you love what you do you never have to work ". This has been my motto through out my career and it never let me down. Many many thanks. Much love, Kindest regards Eddie and Tracy Spence. 💖.x x x
