This Sunday is Mothering Sunday so prepare yourself for a breakfast of burnt toast and luke warm tea with seven sugars! Hopefully you will also receive some lovely gifts and cards. This will be our 23rd Mothering Sunday in the shop so between us we have nearly a century's worth of experience steering dads and husbands towards the perfect gift!

Something for everyone for everyone this week! Starting with a new range of wooden toys. The juniors of the household can blow off some steam racing around with their push along toys and when it all gets too much, calm them down with the clockwork musical boxes. Little ones just love watching the figures spin around to the music. If Gok was here he would be saying " this season girls, it's all about colour." Miss Milly are coming to the rescue with their fabulous range of jewellery. This is just a small selection of their range. We also have a some fantastic new candles from Pintails. All handmade in the Lake District and we love the cocktail flavours. Finally something for the gents. Beer is officially the bestest thing ever invented so to make it even betterer, drink it from a posh glass. These Dartington glasses fit the bill perfectly. The perfect beer poured perfectly into the perfect glass is something to be enjoyed as often as possible! Sorry getting carried away there..for the non beer drinkers we have some some sets of six glasses for £24. They are available in red wine,white wine and champagne.
We shall all be having a well earned day off on Monday 30th of January, so pop in on Saturday to stock up on all your gorgeous essentials. If they are not urgent essentials we shall be open again bright eyed and bushy tailed at 9am on Tuesday 31st January. Well let us have a cup of tea first and then you might get bright eyed!

Happy new year to you all. We always celebrate the new year by doing our stock take. Once that it is done though, it means we can go off and buy new and exciting stuff. Watch this space for gorgeous updates. In the mean time if you could watch the trees to see if we can find Cheam's latest escapee.
Tomorrow is the Cheam late night and to free up extra parking Mary Burstow has arranged for the gates on Nonsuch park to be left open. There's tons of parking in there so if you have to drive down that's the best place to head. Bring a torch as obviously it's dark in the park!
