Hi All, Could I ask for 3 minutes of your time for a survey about property sourcing? We're doing some independent research to find out about the state of the property sourcing industry, what's good, what's bad, and what you're looking for in the future. Hopefully the fruits of this research will make it easier for everyone to source great properties too! It doesn't matter if you've ever used a sourcer before or not - we need responses from both. We appreciate your participation. PM me if you'd like more information. :) https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HG25GNJ

Manchester certainly is growing! I saw 13 cranes on my way into the city centre the other day. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/city-centre-goes-east-plans-14007080

364 days to go before the end of new HMO's in most of Salford...or am I over-reacting? https://www.salford.gov.uk/article-4-direction

I always like reading contrarian views on things - especially when it comes to property. Here's a former HM Treasury consultant arguing that there is no housing shortage! https://medium.com/@ian.mulheirn/londons-housing-non-shortage-a059593432b5

An interesting piece from the Salford Star talking about the massive impact that the buy-to-let market is having on the area. I mostly agree with what's said, I wouldn't want to live next to most HMO's either, as they tend to be poorly managed. http://salfordstar.com/article.asp?id=4134

If you are in London this week then come down to Blackfriars PIN meeting on Tuesday 26th Sept at the Crowne Plaza hotel to hear us share some property disasters (and how to recover from them!)

Interesting piece from the Salford Star about the lack of affordable homes being created across two big schemes in Ordsall. All a matter of opinion, for what it's worth mine is that 'Affordable Housing' is a (failing) part of the sticking plaster that the government is using to try and fix the twin problems of: 1. Not building enough housing. 2. The rising gap between rich and poor. And that policies to tackle these twin problems properly are what's needed. They won't be tackled, but they should be. http://salfordstar.com/article.asp?id=4074

The FT finally cottoning on to what we've been saying for about the last 5 years, that in many ways it makes a lot more sense to invest in Manchester than London at the moment! https://www.ft.com/content/761a35e6-7de7-11e7-9108-edda0bcbc928
