Loveday's - come together and eat.  Loveday’s opened in March 2017, directly above the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre, we’ve revamped what used to be known as “The Bosuns Diner.”

With a colonial feel and a focus on food paired with spices from the trade routes of the high-seas, we aim to deliver an unexpectedly beautiful culinary experience. Highlights include fish “sharing platters” including a vegetarian option and tapas-inspired “Deck Plates”.

Biodynamic wines on offer are sourced from The Grayhound, a ship that delivers direct into Charlestown Harbour make for great tastings and unique offerings as are rarely on offer anywhere else in the UK.

A Love Affair from the earliest days of Charlestown Harbour.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan, our sister organisation, holds a historic link with Charlestown.  In 1776, Grace Tremayne, the sister of Heligan Squire Henry Hawkins Tremayne, married Charles Rashleigh – the man who gave Charlestown its present day name and so by opening Loveday’s we nod to the romance of old Cornwall.

Grace and Charles may no longer be with us, but as the old saying goings, you die not once, but twice. The first when you leave this earth, and the second when you are no longer remembered. Through Loveday’s  – Grace and Charles will always live on.
