Butter wouldn't melt this morning after making me race them to the gate after an escape attempt.
Suffolk punch Calling all owners of mares in the west/ south west of uk. I am having Dakota graded and her filly foal in November at my yard just outside Carmarthen Wales. I have been asked by the SHS to see if any one else would like any of your mares graded who are not eligible for the main stud book ie a mare out of a registered dam who has a non registered sire eg American stallion. I am happy to provide lights refreshments for the day and stable horses over night if needed. The cost to you as a owner is for the vet (the more there are the less it will be) the SHS picks up all other costs for a representative for the grading. As of yet we have not confirmed a date apart from November and your mare will have to be lightly lunged. For more information please contact Clair Thurlow at the SHS.
Breaking in the new vet gently with All 5 gingers and grey ponies having their MOTs (Neeve just got a cuddle). Poor yogi had his teeth done as well and Ellie some bloods taken. All are now having an afternoon snooze after their lunch.

Ginger bottoms are the order of the day.
A hot few days can only mean one thing. Washing. 5 loads done just 2/3 more to go. Bandages, boots, fleeces, summer sheets, vests and hoods are all being done. A slave to the washing machine we have become.

Neeve is growing and very much an independent little person and is happily to be the centre of attention amongst her aunties giving Dakota plenty of munching time to refuel. However Neeve has been in the wars and has chipped the paint work with a cut in her inner foreleg. Aunty Philippa to the rescue with a nasty tetanus jab but no other treatment needed as it is nice and clean, healing well.

Another busy day. Slip rails put up and stream taped round for another mare and foal paddock made. A New gate put up where the very old gate finally went to scrap heaven snapping the built in hinges off. To the delight of the big girls all rallying round to help. Eshara and her beautiful little boy went out in the sunshine j. Their new paddock.
