I've recently taken up "tatting" which is an old form of lace making, and am using it to create beautiful jewellery with crochet cotton. The idea is to incorporate my crocheting & tatting techniques to make my own uniquely designed jewellery 😊

At last! I finished this mermaid tail which was done in crocodile stitch, it's open at the back from the waist up like a lap blanket. I gave it to my 4 year old niece today, hopefully she will love it :-)

Local Wool shop is closing down so went in intending on buying a few balls....who was i kidding!!! Wwwwww! all that shimmering & lovely silky yarn...Once a yarn addict always a yarn addict...haha well at least they weren't full price, I so love a bargain & they will make lovely items 😊

Guess what I've started to make.......crocheted jewellery, will post a photo once its finished, loving it it so dainty :-)

Thought I would do something to help others, so I'm currently working on making hats and scarfs for the homeless ready for winter, have made 12 hats, 3 scarfs and a couple of cowls so far, hoping to make alot more before end of October when I will be donating them to a local charity to hand out the the homeless in Gwynedd & Conwy, it's so sad to think there are people in that situation and so local too, we're sometimes very blind to see what goes on around us, I hope my hats & scarfs help keep them warm this winter. I've also joined a group called 60million trebles, which is aimed at breaking the world record size blanket, people are signing up to crochet blankets of a specific size using the trebles crochet stitch & donating the blankets so they can be joined together to break the world record, they will then be turned back into individual blankets & donated to different charities e.g. the Syrian refugees, British Red Cross etc such a great cause and a brilliant way to engage with fellow hookers (of the crochet kind lol) :-) today I'm starting on my first treble crochet blanket, I'm hoping to make a least 4 to donate to them :-)
