Bank Holiday Monday was a hot meeting in more ways than one. Our car, after the problems we had last time out, was now sporting better cooling on the front brakes and a set of new tyres and it showed, getting into the 1m 07s and putting the car on pole. In the first race Olly got mugged on the start and saw him drop to 4th , due to a switch problem, but then it was pretty to watch, with Olly one by one moving through the traffic until taking the lead and then moved 10 seconds ahead from the second place car.......the smiles on the teams faces said it all. The meeting had two races for the GT's and again our car on pole, what could go wrong, but it did , as Olly pulled away on the parade lap, the brackets on rear axle broke away and our chances of this years championship ......it happens....so we are now looking forward to the last meeting and to do it all again and perhaps the lap record........we can do it ! .

The West country cracker meeting of 12 &13 of August saw some great racing, with our car out on Sunday. The car was quick , but due to the lack of front brakes, the car could only manage to come home in 5th place.

When we were testing on thursday we saw a very nicely turned out Mk1 Lotus Cortina, driven by a Mike Jordan, after having a chat with him, found out he would be taking part in Sundays BRSCC endurance race, for cars between 1960 to 1975, being of that age and if I did not own it , I had driven it , due to working in a number of garages between 1964 until 1975, I when back to Combe on Sunday, with a grid 25 cars and the Jordan Cortina on pole , what a race, to watch these car's being thrown around, the Cortina took the lead at lap2 and just kept increasing it's lead with a driver change over to his son Andrew it was still doing 1-20 and then to rub it in, overtook the second place Mustang on the finish line......This father and son duo should take up racing for a living.

We were looking for a successful weekend after a broken diff in qualifying put an end to what was going a open goal at the Whitsun weekend meeting, Oh well Jerry always need to be busy with something to do , after a new diff fitted with an oil cooler, things were now looking set for testing on 13th July, which after a couple a issues went very well. It was the BRSCC meeting at Casle Combe over the weekend, with our GT championship on the Saturday, overcast and a bit of light rain greeted us and qualifying went really well, second on the grid 0.65 behind Barry Sqibb on pole. We were race 2 and the rolling start saw Olly side by side with Barry and then Chris Southcott sneaked past us, then on Lap13, Barry's gearbox went again and then Chris broke a half shaft with Bradley John then taking the lead, to the flag and Olly in second place, smiles all round, some silver ware and the well earned points, well done everyone.

The May day meeting at Coombe was dry, but a bit cold and with the all our problems sorted, we looked forward to a good qualifying and managed second on the grid, it would have been first, but due to exceeding track limits,( good try Olly), so Barry Squibb took pole. The race started with Barry in the lead and Steve Hall made another good start, Barry's gearbox went bang on lap 8 which put Steve in the lead, with Olly right on his bumper and with a couple of times, side by side, with overheating front brakes and not wanting to end up off the track and not finishing, second place will do thank you, just 0.737 seconds between them at the flag and we all know Mr Hall was never going to give up his first place, if he could help it and who can blame him, Well done Steve......this time !

Welcome back. Sorry for the long delay in updating our site, so here we go with the car so far!. With the car now running 2.3 Ecoboast and now in class A, with the first outing at Castle combe on the 17th April, Easter Monday, the Howards Day meeting with a very mixed grid, David Krayem with the Viper Oreca and Nigel Mustill in the Lamborghini Gallardo , it looked a tall order to get to the front, but with a shower of rain on the other side of the circuit just before the rolling start ( new for this season) made it a very interesting race, with car's sliding all over the place with the lead changed 3 or 4 times per lap, on lap 6 saw IIsa Cox brake a fuel line and the car caught fire at the Esses, in a flash Olly spotted a green flag , that most drivers hadn't seen and slipped into second, then after another safety car , the restart saw Olly take the lead, but he retired, but at the line it was Dave Krayem, Chris Vinall & Tim Woodman, with Olly finishing 6th not bad considering he spent most of the laps holding the a broken gear stick together. It had to be the best race to watch for a long time.

Welcome back and thank you to everyone who traveled up to the Autosport Racing car show at the NEC at Birmingham, it was nice to see you all. The car was on the Castle Combe stand and there was a lot of interest in it's New Ford 2.3 engine , which had been key holed into the framework and everyone kept asking how did Jerry do it , well the answer is ..........he doesn't know ....but it fits....Just. We are now looking forward to three weeks time when the car goes on the rolling road for it's Bhp test, which should be interesting, well if it goes as well as it looks, I think we are on to a winner, in more ways than one. We did try to do a selfie at the show.......no comment.

With Olly's runs coming to an end due to the N/S/F tyre edge taking a punishment ......Sorry Bob, hope your slow drive home didn't take to long and by the way Olly you owe your Dad a new tyre .
