Chris Stubbs Electrical are happy to undertake all aspects of electrical work. Our team of qualified electricians operate in Devon and Dorset. Chris Stubbs Electrical is a family run, electrical company based in both Bridport, Dorset and Axminster, Devon.
Chris trained with the South Western Electricity Board (SWEB) and upon completion of his training became a member of the Westland Helicopters maintenance department.
In 1982, during his employment with Westland Helicopters, Chris began to work independently outside of his full time position. This began with completing private work during evenings and weekends.
In 1987, Chris left his position with Westlands Helicopters and established Chris Stubbs Electrical becoming self employed. The business undertook both private contracts and also sub-contracted to a national communications, security and data company comprising a team of six engineers.
In 2004 Chris’ son, Ricky Stubbs, began an apprenticeship with Chris Stubbs Electrical which was completed in 2008 qualifying Ricky to work alongside Chris as part of the family business.
The Chris Stubbs Electrical team are qualified to undertake all aspects of electrical work including domestic and industrial projects and are proud to be National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors (NICEIC) approved Domestic Installers (registration number: D100149).
Chris Stubbs Electrical covers a broad service area encompassing Dorset and Devon.

A recent 100amp three phase machine supply and control gear upgrade we carried out for a local company.we were given 5 days in which to complete the work before production had to restart..we completed it in 4 !😊 It involved removing the old 1970s rewirable 3 phase fuses boxes and associated switch gear and installing two new 17th edit Hager 3 phase Dis boards.including replacing the press safety control and main contactors and associated cables and circuits and all contained and fed from a new 100mm galv trunking system.

This is going to be a great addition for bridport and we are excited to be doing the electrics there Seal's Cove are opening a massive soft play with death slide and restaurant + archery range + loads more here in Bridport Attached are some of the before and up to date photos of how it is coming on. This installation is going to have new high bay LED lights, Network cables though out, High spec Cctv system and loads more.
