A massive Thank you to all those who attended and supported our Special Memorial Tea Dance on Sunday to celebrate the life of my Dad 'Dick'. We raised over £500 for the British Lung Foundation :-) All the Sequence dances were lead by a member of his family. There was a great atmosphere in the hall and a good time was had by all. My Dad would have been so proud x

The Memorial Tea Dance to celebrate the life of 'Dick Ford' will go ahead, as planned tomorrow afternoon in the Main Hall at the Kinson Community Centre. The snow and ice in the car park has now almost gone and all the roads around the Centre are clear. Dick, together with his wife Stella were the leaders at the Wednesday Evening Modern Sequence Club at the Centre for well over 15 years. The Dance runs from 2pm-4.30pm A mix of Ballroom, Latin, Popular and Modern Sequence dancing. Entry to this dance is FREE, but we will be collecting for the British Lung Foundation. All profits from this dance will go to this charity. There will be a break for an American Tea (Please bring a small snack for the buffet table) We hope to see you there

All Classes at DanceAway will be CLOSED tomorrow, Saturday 3rd March, due to the current weather conditions. It is simply not worth the risk of someone slipping on the ice, or having an accident en route. Many side roads and pavements are still very dangerous! Please practice your dancing at home this weekend and we will be back to normal next Saturday. Enjoy the snow, but wrap up warm and take great care. At the moment I intend to go ahead with our Special Memorial Dance at the Kinson Community Centre on Sunday, but this will depend on the ice situation in 24 hours. I will post again to confirm tomorrow evening.

Please come and join us at our Special Memorial Dance to celebrate the life of my Dad (Dick) who sadly passed away just before Christmas. My Dad loved his dancing and had danced since he was a young man, until his lung condition sadly forced him to stop. He and Mum ran the Modern Sequence Dance Club at the Kinson Community Centre every Wednesday evening for many years. The dance will be held in the Main Hall at the Centre, where Dad enjoyed many hours dancing. The afternoon will be a mix of Ballroom, Latin American, Modern and Popular Sequence, with a break for snacks and coffee/tea. Please bring a small snack for the buffet table. Sunday 4th March 2018 (2pm-4.30pm) Entry to the dance is FREE but we are asking for donations for the British Lung Foundation please. All profits from the dance will go to this charity.

Just a reminder... Adult classes at DanceAway Re-Open tomorrow Monday 22nd Jan at the Allendale Centre and this Thursday 25th Jan at the Kinson Community Centre. Tuesday classes at the Barrington re-open next Tues 31st Jan. New Beginners classes at all venues. Children's classes Re-Open this coming Saturday 27th Jan at the Kinson Community Centre. There are still a few spaces available for new pupils. Hope to see you all in class soon

DanceAway is pleased to welcome Deborah Hurst Photography to join us at the Kinson Community Centre this coming Saturday morning 7th October 2017. Debbie will be available to take individual and/or group/family photos of the children. This service is OPEN to all pupils and friends of DanceAway. Full details have been emailed to all parents. There is NO OBLIGATION to buy, but this annual photo shoot at DanceAway is very popular and just right for Xmas presents. We are in the Main hall on Saturday and all classes run as normal.
