Welcome to our brand new £2.3 million Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council Community Athletics Facility at Witton Country Park. Located at our site is a state of the art 6 lane 80m indoor sprint track, 400m outdoor athletics track, fitness studio and a 45 station gym complete with a free weights and functional area.
Home to Blackburn Harriers and Athletics Club; the new facility will include:
Improved changing facilities
Spectator terracing
Warm up/education room/social space and club room
Indoor 80 metre warm up/training track (6 lanes)
45 station Fitness Suite with free weight area and changing facilities
Star Trac BoxMaster Quad Station with Kickpads

Councillor Damien Talbot, Executive Member for Culture, Leisure, Sport and Young People, said: “This facility will transform athletics in the borough and will be for the benefit of everyone. We hope it will encourage more young people to take up sport and help make our current talented athletes even better. We have worked with Blackburn Harriers to create a first class venue which will hopefully create the next Olympians.”

Our health walks last 30 minutes and start from various venues throughout our communities. We also have a variety of walks led by volunteers which last a little longer and cover a greater distance.
