Having so much fun in Malaysia and catching some serious sunshine ☀️ I’m not silly when it comes to sunbathing, I now understand just how damaging the sun can be to our skin if not correctly protected. I wear factor 50 without fail and the best thing is it’s built into my Alumier creams. This holiday I have treated my skin very differently. I have pigmentation from too much previous sun exposure so I have been using specific creams to combat this and it’s working. Previously as soon as my skin was exposed to sun my pigment would show as dark clusters around my top lip (moustache alert) and on my cheeks. Now I’m treating my skin with care and it’s showing. I feel glowing, normally on holiday my skin feels tight, dry, dehydrated and sunburnt on holiday and now it’s everything but that... Do our feel like a crocodile??? Today on our family travels in Malaysia we visited a crocodile farm! Crocodiles have smooth skin on their bellies and sides, while their dorsal surfaces are armoured with large osteoderms. The armoured skin has scales and is thick dry and rugged. This time of year our skin can feel very similar... dry, scale like and flakey often due to dehydration. Elysian has some amazing facial and chemical peel treatments to combat skin feeling this way.
