Vote for our Amazing (but Bashful!) Christmas Team! If you've visited our Christmas display this year, you'll know just how magical it's been. From the life size steam train (with real steam!) to the glamorous Royal Essex Christmas selfie area and unique 'Letter from Santa' service, it's truly been a season to remember. None of it would have been possible without some very special people. Our Christmas team, supported by colleagues from all over the centre, always make a tremendous effort to bring Christmas to life for as many people as possible, and we couldn't be more proud of everyone's achievements this year. They’re a humble bunch, who make a great display but can’t stand to have their photos taken - so it’s up to you to show them just how great they are! Show us your snow! There's a bit less shelf-dressing and a bit more snow-messing going on at the centre today because IT'S SNOWING! Some of the team have even been spotted messing about in the car park on sledges (£9.99 if you're asking)! If you see them, could you ask them to come back inside please? If you do come to see us today, its toasty warm and even more Christmassy than ever in the Christmas department. So, grab yourself a hot drink from the coffee bar on the way in and take a slow browse before grabbing a snow shovel or a sledge on your way back out to the car. Taking Care of Animals This Christmas! As we move into the heart of the frosty season, it's important to keep an eye on the wildlife you'll find in your own back garden. If you have bird bath, be sure to regularly break the ice that may form on top to allow the birds to drink freely from the water and bathe themselves properly. To help with winter feeding, be sure to visit our bird care section and pick up some fat balls to give our feathery friends plenty of energy and warmth this winter! We've got a huge selection of feeders, hanging, tables, ground trays, and of course feeding stations - all of which make fantastic gifts for the wildlife enthusiast in your life! Christmas Selfie Competition - NOVEMBER WINNER! We are absolutely LOVING all of the entries that we're receiving for our selfie competition - the response this year has truly blown us away! From the incredibly cute through to the very funny, we've really enjoyed looking at each and every submission that we've received to date!
