Annie's Market Garden is my dream to create a vibrant and thriving local business based at Clink Cottage Farm, which has been in my family for 4 generations. Clink Cottage Farm has been in my family for 4 getting on for 5 generations now, with the addition of William and Oliver (our sons).  Annie's Market Garden is my dream to bring to life the Market Garden that my Great Grandfather (on my Mum's side of the family) started, with the Apple, Pear and Plum Orchards he planted.

My love of baking and rearing Rare Breed Highland cattle, Herdwick Sheep and Berkshire Pigs comes from Grandad's passion for the land and his baking (he was a Master Baker).  I love creating wonderful baked goods such as pies, pasties and cakes, as well as preserves from the Market Garden.  We also raise our cattle to produce wonderful Beef, Pork and Lamb products.

The Market Garden in its original form used to grow, as well as the orchards, local speciality produce such as Asparagus - which the Vale of Evesham is renowned for.  When my father took over the running of the farm his Scottish roots came into play and he introduced me to Highland Cattle.

The introduction of Thistle Fold Highland Cattle to the farm happened in 1995, when I received my first black Highland female as a 1st Wedding Anniversary present from my husband.  In that same year I received another one as a birthday present, and so our first tentative steps were taken in creating the Fold (means herd).

We first started showing the cattle in 2002 and by then the Fold was 30 head in size, we average (at the moment) around 34 head of cattle.  We started selling the Beef in 1997.  Since 2000 we have moved into native bred sheep (Herdwick) and 2 years ago introduced our first rare breed pigs, the Berkshires.

This year, 2011, marks another milestone for Clink Cottage Farm as we realise my dream of bringing the Market Garden back to its former glory.  I'm proud and delighted to introduce you to Annie's Market Garden; all of our products will be locally sourced, produced and made by us here at Annie's.  As we grow Annie's Market Garden we are hoping to be able to introduce a vibrant locally produced Market Garden with that real family feel and values.
