The “new” station wagon…. If you are visiting us at The Power House here at Bicester Heritage, why not take the train? We are proud to announce that we can now offer to collect you from either Bicester North or Bicester Village railway stations in extreme discomfort with very little hope of actually reaching the showroom. Just think of the money you could save by not making it there! If by some miracle you do make it back to the showroom we’ll even give you a lift back to the railway station once your visit is over! (providing you’ve purchased something of course, otherwise we simply will not be able to afford the fuel bill!) N.B. We strongly advise those collectors already fitted with dentures to take a taxi or you may end up as toothless as the gearbox of an incapable driver!
More to follow. Just a few snaps from another fantastic Flywheel Festival. A number of (welcome) interlopers were lodging in The Power House and friends and family had great fun on track. A huge thank you to Historic Promotions for organising the event and Julian Taylor for allowing me to share the drive in his wonderful and historic 1924 Brooklands 200 Miles Race works racing Alvis.
Once again superbly organised by the IVVCC, thank you very much to all those involved. Particularly the owner of the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Corto, a childhood dream realised and expectations firmly exceeded!

It's a small (Bentley) world..... Part of the description of the ex-Bentley Motors Showroom Demonstrator, 1927 Bentley 4½-Litre Tourer that we are offering for sale reads: "Bentley Motors sold 'YT 8262' to a Mr. H.C. Martineau, a regular client of Bentley who owned, at various points, a 3-Litre Speed Model and a 6½-Litre Saloon by H.J. Mulliner." A small coincidence, but here is the 3-Litre Speed Model that Martineau owned: http://robertglover-ltd.com/car/1924-bentley-3412-litre-speed-model-tourer/ Both in the same showroom over 90 years after the 3-Litre was built. One wonders if the 6½-Litre Saloon has survived in such original condition as his other two cars.... It would be great to get them all together!
