A quiet week here for a change which means I'm having an extreme lazy Sunday!! This was vanilla flavour for a young lady who was lucky enough to be on BGT AND dance with Justin Bieber!! And all by the age of 11!!
Ok, so you may or may not have noticed it's become very warm! 😂 This is a caking nightmare!! From now until cooler times are here, all cakes will have a layer of ganache under the sugarpaste icing. This is necessary to stop collapse of the cake due to melting buttercream. Ganache sets firm and therefore gives a much better surface to work with. Unless otherwise advised vanilla, lemon & salted caramel will have white chocolate ganache and all chocolate based cakes will have normal chocolate ganache. Obviously this can be discussed prior to any order being completed but this is the only way I can be sure the designs will stay as they should and give the cake the best chance in this heat.
